Ediphai Privacy Policy
Welcome to Ediphai. By downloading, accessing, or using our website or app, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully before continuing.
1. Information We Collect
When you use Ediphai, we may collect:
Account Information - Name, email address, and device details you provide when creating your account.
Church Association - If you select a church in the app, we store that association to personalize your experience and, where applicable, to determine whether your church provides premium access on your behalf.
Usage Data - Reflections, check-ins, voice recordings, text inputs, coaching conversations, and interactions with app features.
Payment Information - If you subscribe to Ediphai Premium, payment is processed through the Apple App Store (and Google Play Store when available). We do not directly collect or store your credit card number or payment credentials.
Technical Data - Logs, error reports, IP address, device type, operating system version, and usage statistics to improve performance and stability.
Location Data - If enabled on your device, we may collect approximate location for contextual features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use this information to:
Provide and improve your Ediphai experience.
Deliver personalized reflections, prompts, and insights.
Manage your subscription, trial, and access entitlements, including church-subsidized premium access.
Enforce usage limits on the free tier (such as the daily text coaching message limit).
Communicate with you about your account, updates, or support needs.
Send optional reminders, devotional content, or surveys (if you opt in).
Analyze usage and improve features, performance, and security.
Comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse.
3. Third-Party Services
To deliver Ediphai, we work with trusted third-party providers for hosting, analytics, communications, and other infrastructure needs. These providers help us operate the app but do not own or control your personal information.
4. Disclosure of Information
We may share information in the following ways:
With service providers that help us deliver Ediphai (as described in Section 3).
With your church or organization, if you use Ediphai as part of a church-partnered account. We may share that you are an active user with your selected church for the purpose of managing subsidized access. Reflections, coaching conversations, and personal content are never shared with your church without your explicit consent.
With partners or resources, but only if you request or consent.
To comply with laws, respond to legal requests, or protect rights and safety.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar business transaction.
As aggregated or de-identified data that does not personally identify you.
5. Anonymized and Aggregate Data
Ediphai may collect, generate, and use anonymized, aggregate-level data derived from user activity for purposes including analytics, product improvement, benchmarking, and church-level ministry insights. This data is stripped of personally identifiable information and cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual user. Because this data is not personal data, its use does not require individual consent or an opt-in and is separate from any user-level data sharing preferences or consent toggles within the app. Examples of aggregate data include overall engagement trends, attendance patterns across churches, and anonymized coaching usage statistics.
6. Data Storage and Security
We follow industry best practices to safeguard your information and keep it protected. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide services, ensure security, and meet legal obligations. Subscription and payment records may be retained for the duration required by applicable tax and financial regulations. Afterward, we delete or anonymize your data.
8. Account Deletion and Recovery
If you delete your Ediphai account, we will retain your data in a deactivated state for 30 calendar days (the "Recovery Period"). During this period, you may contact us or log back in to restore your account and all associated data. After the 30-day Recovery Period expires, your personal data will be permanently deleted from our systems and cannot be recovered, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, financial recordkeeping, or resolving disputes.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access and request a copy of your data.
Correct or delete your data.
Restrict or object to processing.
Opt out of marketing messages.
Request data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows the latest version. If we make material changes (such as changes to how we collect or share data), we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Ediphai after updates means you accept any changes.
